'The Rime of the Ancient Mariner' কবিতার কবি হলাে S. T. Coleridge। কবিতাটি ১৭৯৮ সালে প্রকাশিত হয়। এই কবিতার একটি লাইন 'He prayeth best, who loveth best '।

যে Sentence এ একটি মাত্র principal clause এবং এক বা একাধিক subordinate clause থাকে, তাকে Complex sentence বলে। Complex sentence এ Subordinate clause টি সাধারণত subordinating conjunctions ( though, although, till, until, before, which, what, when, who, whom, after, unless, since, if, as, because, that) ইত্যাদি দ্বারা শুরু হয়।

Intransitive verb এর কোন object প্রয়োজন হয় না। তারা নিজে নিজেই বাক্য সম্পূর্ণ করতে পারে। যেমন:

"To err is human, to forgive divine" is a quote from Alexander Pope's poem "An essay on Criticism."

ফিওদর দস্তইয়েভ্‌স্কি ছিলেন একজন রুশ ঔপন্যাসিক, ছোটগল্পকার, প্রাবন্ধিক, ও দার্শনিক। তার অনেক রচনাই বিশ্বসাহিত্যের অবিচ্ছেদ্য অংশ হিসেবে বিবেচিত হয়ে থাকে। তার প্রধান সাহিত্যকর্মের মধ্যে Crime and Punishment (1866), The Idiot (1869), Demons (1872), and The Brothers Karamazov (1880) উল্লেখযোগ্য।
