In English literature, Don Juan, written from 1819 to 1824 by the English poet Lord Byron, is a satirical, epic poem.

Imperative Sentence কাকে বলে? যে বাক্যের সাহায্যে আদেশ, অনুরোধ, নির্দেশনা, নিষেধ কিংবা উপদেশ প্রকাশ করা হয়, তাকে Imperative sentence বা অনুজ্ঞাসূচক বাক্য বলা হয়। এ ধরনের বাক্যের সাহায্যে কাউকে কিছু বলা হলে, সেক্ষেত্রে একধরনের সরাসরি নির্দেশনা প্রকাশিত হয় বলে Imperative sentence কে directives বলা হয়ে থাকে। এসব বাক্যের শেষে full stop (.) বা exclamation mark (!) বসে Imperative Sentence এর গঠনঃ এধরনের বাক্যে সাধারনত subject উল্লেখিত থাকে না, উহ্য থাকে। Subject (invisible) + verb + object Example: Sit here. আবার, অনেকক্ষেত্রেই শুধুমাত্র verb এর সাহায্যেই বাক্য গঠন হতে পারে। Example: Stop! Imperative Sentence এর ব্যবহার: প্রতিদিনের কথা, বক্তব্যে বা লেখায় আমরা নানা ভাবে অনুজ্ঞাসূচক বাক্য বা directives ব্যবহার করে থাকি। তবে সবচেয়ে বেশি যেভাবে ব্যবহৃত হয়, তা হলঃ A request: Please, give him a pencil. A command: Sit down. An instruction: Do not throw the battery in the trash. An invitation: Come by at 7 p.m, please. An order: Do it quickly. Advice: Never tell a lie. অনুজ্ঞাসূচক বাক্য সাধারণত, ইতিবাচক এবং নেতিবাচক ২ ভাবেই ব্যবহৃত হতে পারে এবং বর্তমান- ভবিষ্যত উভয় সময়কেই নির্দেশ করতে পারে । Verb যদি affirmative হয়, তবে বাক্যটি ইতিবাচক হবে; আর verb যদি Negative হয় তবে অনুজ্ঞাসূচক বাক্যটি হবে নেতিবাচক। Positive: Children, now wash your hands! Negative: Don’t forget to do your homework. যদিও অনুজ্ঞাসূচক বাক্যের সাহায্যে সাহায্যে নির্দেশ, আদেশ, উপদেশ দেয়া হয়, তবে বাক্যে ‘do’, ‘just’ কিংবা ‘please’ যোগ করার মাধ্যমে বাক্যগুলোকে বিনয়ী এবং নমনীয়ভাবে প্রকাশ করা যায়। Please, write down the details. Complete this task, please. Tag question কিংবা বাক্যে exclamation mark (!) ব্যবহারের মাধ্যমে এধরনের বাক্যকে emphasis করা যায়। Tag question: Turn off the fan, would you, please? Exclamative: Someone, call a doctor! এভাবে খুব সহজেই বাক্যের বক্তব্যকে জোরদার করা যেতে পারে, যা কথপোকথন, বক্তব্য, আলাপচারিতা কিংবা লেখায় সরাসরি পরিবর্তন করে, প্রয়োজন মাফিক পরিমার্জন করতে সহায়ক ভূমিকা রাখতে পারে।

সাধারণত Preposition এর পরে Pronoun এর Objective case বসে। কিন্তু Pronoun এর পর যদি  Verb + ing থাকে, তবে Verb + ing এর পূর্বে অবশ্যই Possessive  pronoun ব্যবহৃত হবে। স্পষ্টত Verb + ing এর পূর্বে Possessive Pronoun বসে।
