A command: Sit down. An instruction: Do not throw the battery in the trash. An invitation: Come by at 7 p.m, please. An order: Do it quickly. Advice: Never tell a lie. অনুজ্ঞাসূচক বাক্য সাধারণত, ইতিবাচক এবং নেতিবাচক ২ ভাবেই ব্যবহৃত হতে পারে এবং বর্তমান- ভবিষ্যত উভয় সময়কেই নির্দেশ করতে পারে । Verb যদি affirmative হয়, তবে বাক্যটি ইতিবাচক হবে; আর verb যদি Negative হয় তবে অনুজ্ঞাসূচক বাক্যটি হবে নেতিবাচক। Positive: Children, now wash your hands! Negative: Don’t forget to do your homework. যদিও অনুজ্ঞাসূচক বাক্যের সাহায্যে সাহায্যে নির্দেশ, আদেশ, উপদেশ দেয়া হয়, তবে বাক্যে ‘do’, ‘just’ কিংবা ‘please’ যোগ করার মাধ্যমে বাক্যগুলোকে বিনয়ী এবং নমনীয়ভাবে প্রকাশ করা যায়। Please, write down the details.
